About Us

Living Positive is a non-governmental organization (NGO) that seeks to improve physical and psychological health and develop the social economic status of women infected and affected by HIV/AIDs and their families in the slums. We are currently operating in two location in Kenya. Living Positive was established in Ngong, which is part of the Rift Valley Province and later on we have expanded our operations to Mlolongo, which is is located in the Eastern Province. We are dedicated to promoting activities affecting the lives of orphans and vulnerable children especially as a result of HIV/AIDs.

Our mission is to alleviate the suffering of the HIV/AIDS infected and affected, by providing them with health care, education, income generating programs and rehabilitation. Our goal is to make them more independent, healthier, happier and stronger citizens.

Furthermore, we move towards fighting stigmatization of those infected with HIV/AIDS and encourage a deep change of attitude towards this global pandemic. At Living Positive Program we truly believe that HIV/AIDS can no longer be isolated as a health problem, but rather, it should be considered as a social and economic burden to all the members of the affected societies. In this line, we move to alleviate its social and economic impact in this particular region of Kenya.
